MARIVIC VILLA, MD

Tri-County Pulmonary and MultiSpecialty Group, PA was founded in 1999 by Marivic Villa, M.D., F.C.C.P. Dr. Villa is a Doctor of Medicine, Board Certified in Pulmonary Diseases and Certified in Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Villa graduated from the University of the East, Manila, Philippines in 1986. She then went on to complete her internship at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York City. She completed her residency at St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center in Paterson New Jersey and her Fellowship in Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.
Dr. Villa practices Pulmonary, Sleep and Internal Medicine. She has practiced medicine in New Jersey, Texas and Louisiana. In 2004, she opened the TCPM Sleep Disorders and Lung Diseases Center which specializes in sleep studies and diagnostics of sleep and pulmonary related disorders.
JANMEJAY SHAKTAWAT, MD
Dr. Jay joined the Tri-County Group in 2004. Dr. Jay is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Internal Medicine and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Jay obtained his Bachelor degrees in Medicine and Surgery from SMS Medical College, University of Rajastan, India. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at McKeesport Hospital/University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2003. He served as the Chief Resident and Junior Faculty in Internal Medicine at the same Hospital. He also completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at SMS Medical College in Jaipur, India.
Dr. Jay has privileges with the Leesburg Regional Medical Center and The Villages Regional Hospital.
TUAN DEAN, MD
Dr. Dean graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree. He obtained his Medical Degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Dean completed his Residency in Family Medicine at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine.
MANUEL BETANCOURT, MD
TVHS Physician of the Month (May 2011)
Dr. Betancourt trained Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine at Penn State College of Medicine of the Pennsylvania State University. He was the chief fellow during his last year of training. Dr. Betancourt was involved in multiple teaching activities, including training medical students, residents, and pulmonary fellows.He did his research in the field of Bronchoscopy. He was involved in quality improvement projects in the intensive care units, including new sedation protocols.
He did his residency in Internal Medicine at The Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, an affiliate of Weill Medical College of Cornell University, where he was awarded Outstanding Resident of the Year in 2006.
Dr. Betancourt obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Los Andes in Venezuela where he graduated Cum Laude.
